Bess Lorence, my father's sister, was a wonderful woman that I feel blessed to have known for the first 50+ years of my life. This page is my attempt
to honor her memory and celebrate her life. I invite her loved ones to send me any photos, stories, tributes, or random thoughts that they would like
to add. There will always be room for more.
Bess Mae (Chase Wright) Lorence, 84 years young. Born in Roosevelt, MN September 22, 1931, died unexpectedly and went home to our Lord on July 16, 2016.
Preceded in death by her parents Howard and Ruth Chase, husband Reverend Edmund Gene Lorence, brother Earl and sister Alice (Lund), and son Thomas Steven
Wright. Survived by her children: Jaqlyn (Randy), Greg (Michelle), Kelly, Teresa; step-children: Grace (Rich), Gene Jr. (Anetha), Larry, Robert (Julie),
Rebekah, 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and many spiritual children. A beautiful celebration of her life was held at
Plymouth Covenant Church, where she was a long-time member, on July 30th.
Bess read and studied the Bible, and shared the Gospel all of her life. Of all the scripture she could have chosen, these three were special to
her, and to me, reflects very strongly how she lived her life.
Philippians 4: 4-7 NIV
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in
every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Jeremiah 29: 11-13 NIV
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call
on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Joshua 1:9 NIV
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.
Memories
I would like to the section below grow into a large collection of links with people sharing their memories of Bess. I would make a link
to any URL you may have, or would create a new section if you would just like to send some photos and or writing.
