Besides not knowing anyone in Arizona that rode, I had this odd idea that if I couldn't race, I wasn't interested in any other type of motorcycling.
As I was becoming a member of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, I met many longtime road riders. Since I wasn't sure if my body was ready for riding
offroad anymore, I thought a small street bike would fit the bill. This was a very good first bike or in my case, a re-entry level motorcycle.

Shortly after the purchase, bike before riding it home. Riding felt strangely awkward for the first few miles.

Once it cooled down enough to stop, I posed the bike in front of the scenic areas I was often riding by.

The first areas that needed addressing were the lack of storage and getting buffeted by the wind at highway speeds. This rack mount / top box combo added
storage but the supposedly one size fits all windscreen was a fail.

The answer to the aerodynamic issue was a model-specific "fly catcher" directly from the UK, and an aerodynamic helmet.
This was a great bike for riding on 45 to 55 mph wilderness roads and was adequate at highway speeds with the modifications, but I just never felt
comfortable on multi-lane freeways or busy city streets. I met a few people who rode offroad through CMA's
Fast Lane area and decided to sell this bike in favor of a dual sport.
